Ross Goldberg
Ross Goldberg is the “Ross” behind Kevin/Ross Public Relations. During his 35-year career, Ross has represented companies from a wide spectrum of interests including healthcare, education, insurance, trade associations, finance and not-for-profits. His work has included image management; media relations; corporate communications; employee communications; crisis communications; and the writing of award-winning annual reports, op-ed pieces, and direct-response marketing materials. He also has extensive experience in media training, merger communications and corporate identity/branding.
Immediately prior to founding Kevin/Ross in 1999, Ross was senior vice president of communications and marketing for CareAmerica Health Plans. Prior to joining CareAmerica, he served as vice president of corporate communications for UniHealth America and for its forerunner, the HealthWest Foundation. While there, Ross also served as president of Pacific Media Associates, the company’s wholly owned advertising agency. His career in public relations began in 1976 when he joined the publicly traded Hyatt Corporation.

Michelle Hokr
Michelle Hokr brings to Kevin/Ross nearly two decades of experience in healthcare and nonprofit public relations. Her areas of expertise include media relations, employee communications, community relations, publication management and crisis communication.
Prior to joining Kevin/Ross in 2001, Michelle was a senior public relations professional for Blue Shield of California. In that role she interacted frequently with local, national and trade media developing news releases, pitching stories, responding to inquiries, facilitating interviews, coordinating press conferences and often serving as the company’s spokesperson. She was also heavily involved in brand and image management, special event planning, and providing counsel to executive leadership on the hotbed of public policy issues confronting the industry. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University Northridge where she graduated Kappa Tau Alpha (national honor society in journalism).
A native Angeleno who has seen “The Wizard of Oz” more than just a few times, Michelle strongly agrees there’s no place like home.
Lisa Jurado
Lisa Jurado blends a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with more than two decades of experience in the communications and marketing field. Since joining Kevin/Ross upon its founding in 1999, Lisa’s account management responsibilities have included copywriting and copy editing, presentation development, research, event planning and vendor relations.
Prior to Kevin/Ross Lisa worked as an advertising and marketing coordinator at CareAmerica Health Plans where she was intricately involved in a host of related activities including advertising (both creative and media scheduling/buying), community relations, special event planning, and promotion and project management.
A lover of sweets, Lisa combats her cravings with exercise. She holds five certifications in the fitness industry and has been teaching group exercise classes from cardio kickboxing to indoor cycling at various health clubs for 27 years. Lisa believes we should all live life to its fullest…eat what you want and work it off!
Carol Stevenson
Carol Stevenson has nearly 20 years’ experience in media relations, crisis communications, community outreach, copywriting and public speaking.
Before joining the Kevin/Ross team in 2000, Carol was the state public affairs specialist for the American Red Cross in California. In that role she assisted 48 Red Cross chapters strengthen their ability to work with the media and communicate with their communities before, during and after disasters. During nearly a decade with the Red Cross, she was involved in strategic planning, all aspects of media relations and image management, training paid and volunteer staff in post-disaster PR activities, and providing on-site public and media relations following disasters across the country. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and journalism from California State University Sacramento.
Always up for a challenge, in the last few years Carol has competed in her first mini-triathlon, coming in first place among the women; run her first half-marathon, finishing in 2:15; and taken up tennis (no awards here … yet).
