Since joining the Kevin/Ross team in 2000, Carol Stevenson has landed hundreds of media placements for our clients in print, online and broadcast outlets – and across all genres, from large national newspapers to targeted healthcare trades. In addition to her magic touch with the media, as vice president Carol provides both strategy and hands-on communications support to Kevin/Ross clients.
Over her 25-year career, Carol has worked with small and large organizations, from sole proprietorships to international companies, in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. In addition to media her areas of expertise include strategic planning, branding, community outreach and crisis communication.
Prior to joining Kevin/Ross, Carol spent a decade at the American Red Cross overseeing public relations for the Sacramento chapter and providing on-site PR for disasters across the country. After assuming a statewide role, she helped Red Cross chapters throughout California strengthen their ability to work with the media and communicate with their communities before, during and after disasters.
Carol lends her time speaking to college PR classes where she shares with these future professionals her tips for success, including the importance of identifying the “right ingredients” for creating a winning PR program.
Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and journalism from California State University Sacramento and also studied at the Universidad de Granada in Spain.
