Kevin/Ross Public Relations has been honored with three Aster Awards in recognition of outstanding achievement in marketing, advertising and communications.

Earning a Gold Award was the “Thank You America” newspaper ad Kevin/Ross created on behalf of  OneLegacy, the nonprofit organ procurement organization serving seven counties in Southern California and a diverse population of nearly 20 million. The ad spoke of the fact that over the past five years the waiting list for a lifesaving organ has decreased by 10%, but there remains much work to be done as more than 107,000 Americans are still waiting to receive the gift of life.  Kevin/Ross has subsequently produced regional variations of the award-winning ad, saying “Thank You” to Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties.

Also honored by the Aster Awards was an ad campaign Kevin/Ross produced for Mid-Columbia Medical Center in Oregon.  The three-ad campaign that appeared in the community’s local magazine began with an ad entitled “Redefining Health Care in the George” and described how the hospital was repositioning itself from a single hospital into a local healthcare system with multiple locations and product lines to adapt to the community’s changing wants and needs.  The initial ad was followed by ads featuring immediate care and orthopedics & sports medicine.

Kevin/Ross also won a “Gold” award for its unique “Sixteen Questions” booklet which carried the reflections of more than 100 business leaders on the “Question of the Month” that had appeared over the past 16 months in Kevin/Ross’ monthly e-newsletter.  The questions (and answers) covered such diverse topics as the best advice ever received, the best ways to inspire creative thinking, favorite quotes, what you miss most about being a child and a dozen more.

In addition to this latest recognition from the Aster Awards, Kevin/Ross’ work has been honored during the past year with three MarCom awards and three Healthcare Advertising awards.   Throughout the years, Kevin/Ross has been repeatedly recognized for creative excellence for work it created on behalf of a wide range of clients, including (in addition to the three honored this year) SCAN Health Plan, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Antelope Valley Hospital, MedicareCompareUSA, Clear Vision Information Systems and the California Treatment Advocacy Foundation.
