Kevin/Ross Public Relations has garnered two awards for writing excellence from the international MarCom Awards competition. The agency was cited for excellence while competing against more than 6,500 entries from the United States and several foreign countries.

Honored with a prestigious Gold Award was an article entitled “Five Reasons Why Crisis Communications Fail” that appeared in appeared in the spring 2018 issue of The Journal of Value Based Leadership. Written by Kevin/Ross President Ross Goldberg, the article acknowledged that while all well-run companies have crisis communications plans, many fail for a familiar set of reasons and then suggested what can be done to overcome these common barriers to success.

Kevin/Ross was also honored for an article that appeared in Strategic Healthcare Marketing that the agency produced in January 2018 on behalf of Paul Gauthier, founder and CEO of MedicareCompareUSA. Entitled “The Importance of Being More Strategic in Attracting and Retaining Seniors,” the article encouraged hospitals and physicians to take a more proactive approach to capturing the Medicare population rather than defaulting that task to locally competing health plans or just assuming that seniors will “find us” on their own.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals, both corporate and agency. Over the past seven years, Kevin/Ross has garnered more than two dozen awards from the organization on behalf of a wide range of clients, including (in addition to MedicareCompareUSA) OneLegacy, the Orthopaedic Institute for Children, SCAN Health Plan, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Antelope Valley Hospital, Clear Vision Information Systems and the California Treatment Advocacy Foundation.
